Another outstanding month of racing at Palm Beach is completed!  Here are my Top 10 Rankings for greyhounds that are currently racing at "The Beach."

#1 Rob Gronkowski ~ 545 Yard Racer ~ Rader Racing
~Last month ranking (#1) 4 straight months as the #1 racer here
~2 wins, 29.23 best time this month
~Named Captain of the 2013 All-American Team, the highest achievement a greyhound racer can attain.

The fastest greyhound on the planet. Is the heavy favorite to win the $50,000 St. Patrick's Day Invitational on March 15th.Will transfer after the Invitational to compete in Stakes races around the country for owner Steve Sarras.  Watching history every time he runs.

#2 Bae Sang ~ 301 Yard Super Sprinter ~ Rader Racing
~Last month - not ranked
~5 wins this month, best time 16.53
~Current longest winning streak at 6 races here at Palm Beach.

The best Super Sprinter at Palm Beach. Many fans and I are hoping that Bae Sang and KB'S Like A Fox are in the same race together to see the best face each other for the first time ever. Has a chance to get to a double digit win streak in March.

#3 Flying Zinc ~ 660 Yard Racer ~ Royal Racing Team
~Last month - not ranked
~James W. Paul 3/8ths Mile Champion on Feb. 22nd.
~Ran 37.30 twice in the past 30 days, 2nd best time ever on the Pat C Rendezvous Course

Incredible story with Zinc winning the Derby. Did not originally make the Final, but was penciled in after Kiowa Try Tori scratched.  Has a great chance of setting the Course record time in the future after nearly breaking it twice.

#4 Atascocita Golda ~545 Yard Racer ~ Suncoast Racing
~Last month - Not ranked
~Tied for the season's win lead here with 25
~ Best time this month 29.29 seconds

One of the best lady racers at Palm Beach is back in top form. One of the best rushers here and has never been afraid of contact. Has a great shot to take another season's win title for Suncoast Racing after Atascocita Henri did it last year.

#5 Relativity ~ 545 Yard Racer ~ James E. Douglas
~Last month - Not Ranked
~2nd in wins on the season (24)
~4 wins this month, 29.52 second best time

"Einstein" has stepped his game up this month. 4 out of 6 races won and one of the losses was to the best closer here in Spangled. Absolutely secured a spot in the St Pats Invitational next month in my opinion.

#6 KB's Like A Fox ~ 301 Yard Super Sprinter ~ Rader Racing
~Last month ranking (#6) same ranking in February
~ Tied for the season's win lead here with 25
~2 wins this month, 16.45 second best time

On of the best super sprinters around. Has been less consistent this month, but still poises the threat of flying out of the box faster then anybody here.

#7 San Tan Spangled ~ 545 Yard Racer ~ Steve Gilster Kennel
~Last month ranking (#4) down 3 spots
~1 win this month, best time 29.49 seconds

Only one win this month but it was over one of the top dogs here in Relativity. Has the best close of any racer here currently.

#8 Fusileer ~ 545 Yard Racer ~ North Shore Kennel
~Last month - Not Ranked
~3 wins this month, 29.56 second best time

Came off an extended break in January and has won 5 out of 8 races he competed in.

#9 PJ Timeless ~545 and 660 Yard Racer ~ Rader Racing
 ~Last month - Not Ranked
~3 wins this month, 37.86 second best time

~Was 1st or 2nd in every qualifier in the 3/8ths Mile Derby. Is one of the most versatile runners here, being competitive in both the 545 and 660.

#10 Racin Rascal ~ 545 Yard Racer ~ B & B Racing
~Last month, not ranked
~3 wins this month, 29.62 second best time

Had a 4 race winning streak going this month, all class A wins. Stumbled last two races, but looks to be a very promising racer for the future.

Honorable Mention: JS SpeedyPebbles, Ghost Buster, TF St. Pius, CRT Yusef, Smokey Joe, Storm Control, FF Code Red, TF Chucky Slick, TF Ashley, PJ Smoke EM Out, CRT Majestic, Kiowa Frank Lazy, Kay Rock Sweet, BlackJack Bryce, Submariner, CrazyZorro, CRT Leyla, NB'S Simba, JS Honey Boo Boo, TF Tommy Salami.

Highlights This Month

~Flying Zinc winning the $50,000 Derby in 37.30 seconds.
 ~Bae Sang's current 6 race winning streak.
~Rob Gronkowski having a 8 race winning streak during this month.
~JS SpeedyPebbles winning her first Class A race since January 12th. Many fans and myself are really hoping this pup gets back to top form. Best rookie racer ever here.
~Atascocita Con winning her first ever race on 2-28 after 42 career starts at PB and Gulf Greyhound Park.

Not So Good

~No Jawa Bruiser for track announcer FasTrak Dale to watch race all month long. Bruiser should come back after a break to race again soon.

Enjoy the racing in March and the St. Patrick's Invitational at Palm Beach Kennel Club!

Top 10 Greyhounds Palm Beach Kennel Club January 2014

*The Unstoppable Rob Gronkowski*

Top 10 Greyhounds
Palm Beach Kennel Club
January 2014

The start of the 2014 racing season at Palm Beach is off and running!  Stakes season is in full force and this track is sporting some of the fastest greyhounds in the country right now. Here are my Top 10 Greyhounds currently racing at "The Beach."

#1 Rob Gronkowski ~ 545 Yard Racer ~ Rader Racing
~Last month ranking (#1) 3 straight months as the #1 racer here.
~6 wins this month

The fastest greyhound on the planet right now. The "Gronk" won the prestigious He's My Man Classic on January 18th in a blazing time of 29.25.  The future All-American can now add this title to his Southland Sprint Championship as well as the Fall Puppy Stakes Championship here.  Owner Steve Sarras has confirmed that Gronk will be here for the St. Patrick's Day Invitational and then will travel to other Stakes events around the country. The track record holder for the Royal Palm Course (29.02) is like watching history every time he steps on the track. Amazing racer and no doubt my favorite greyhound here.

#2 JS SpeedyPebbles ~ 545 Yard Racer ~ Pat Collins/Neola Joe Kennel
~Last month #2 (Same ranking) 3 straight months at this ranking.
~3 wins this month

The best rookie racer this track has ever seen. Going into the He's My Man Classic Final, any fan would say it came down to Gronk and Pebbles for the title.  Stumbled the last two races at the end of the month, but there was no doubt that this was the best racer behind Gronk before that. Is currently on a break and should come back ready to go for the St. Pat's Invitational. Has won 72% of her races this season. The best female here as track announcer Mike Jameson would say.

#3 Flying Zinc~ 660 Yard Long Distance Racer~ Royal Racing Team
~Last month - Not Ranked
~1 win this month

~The current favorite to win the James W. Paul Derby in February. Has 3 of the top 4 times this season in the 660. Almost beat the course record on 1/31 by posting a blazing 37.30 time.  Only one win this month because she was on a break getting ready for Stakes season.  Has the rare combo of great rush and outstanding close at this distance. Looks to be in top form at the absolutely right time.

#4  San Tan Spangled ~ 545 Yard Racer ~Steve Gilster Kennel
~Last month #9 - Up 6 spots, biggest mover on this list.
~3 wins this month

Possibly the best closer here at Palm Beach. Made the He's My Man final and was an outside threat to challenge the Gronk. 29.38 best season time.  Looks to be just getting started with only 18 races so far this season. If Gronk and SpeedyPebbles are off for most of February, this may be your #1 greyhound for my next Top 10 here.  Loves picking off early speedsters at the end of races.

#5 TF Chucky Slick ~ 545 Yard Racer ~ Rader Racing
~Last Month Not Ranked
~5 Wins this month

The only racer here that has beaten JS SpeedyPebbles twice. The box to wire specialist has 15 wins on the season and seems to be getting better every race. Season best time of 29.40. If he gets a rail spot against anybody but the Gronk, mail it in.Has won 48% of his races this season and is currently 8th on the wins list and rapidly climbing.

#6 KB's Like A Fox~ 301 Yard Super Sprint Racer ~ Rader Racing
~ Last month #3 - Down 3 spots
~3 wins this month

Still the best sprinter at "The Beach" but it's not by much. Had a few hiccup races this month, which brought his ranking down. Has 4 of the top 10 super sprint times on the season, including tying the track record of 16.38 on January 4th.  Will need to step his game up even more with Southland stud Bae Sang back to his home course and Blackjack Bryce constantly applying pressure. Currently tied for 1st on the season's win list with 23 and has a good shot of taking the wins title once the season ends in June.

#7 Ghost Buster~ 545 & 660 Yard Racer ~ B & B Racing
~Last month -Not Ranked
~2 wins this month

The hot shot rookie owned by new Facebook buddy Steve Schlachter burst on the scene at the He's My Man Classic taking a surprising 4th.  Switched over to the 660 and immediately ran a 37.51, winning by 10.5 lengths and sporting the 3rd fastest time this season. If he can stay in the hunt during the Final of the Derby in February, could steal the title away from the favorites. Dynamic closing ability on this one and the sky is the limit for how good he could be in either the 545 or 660 distance.

#8 Jawa Bruiser~545 Yard Racer~ Royal Racing Team
~ 2 wins this month
~Last month #5- Down 3 spots

One of the best rushers here.  Has to get the lead to win because closing is not his game.  Track announcer FasTrak Dale's favorite greyhound at this track is always near the front of the pack. Has won 44% of his starts and should be in the St. Patrick's Day Final.

#9 Smokey Joe~ 660 Yard Long Distance Racer ~ Rader Racing
~Last month- Not Ranked
~2 wins this month

The All American transfer from Southland came over with a ton of hype and has not disappointed. Has finished in the top 3 in all but one race since coming over to Palm Beach. Is debatable to me who has a better close between this one and Flying Zinc.  Will be mentioned right along with Flying Zinc and Ghost Buster to win the $50,000 Derby in February.

#10 BlackJack Bryce~301 Yard Super Sprint Racer~ Champions Racing Team
~Last month- #6 (Down 4 spots)
~3 wins this month

The main rival to KB's Like A Fox the last few months. Struggled with consistency at the beginning of the month by winning and then throwing a stinker race right after. Did win 2 races in a row to end the month. 17 wins on the season and sports a 58% win percentage. Should be fantastic watching Like A Fox, Bae Sang and Bryce battle in the coming months on the super sprint course.

Honorable Mention- Relativity, CRT Majestic, PJ Smoke Em Out, Kay Rock Sweet, Storm Control, JS TinkerBelle, PJ Timeless, Bae Sang, Flying The Who, JS Big Mac, CRT Outstanding, Pat C Just Up, JS Angel Touch, PWS Cadishack, Legally Buzzed, San Tan Chisholm, Kiowa Try Tori, SWG Just My Luck, NB's Nice and Easy, Turbo Fire Break, NB's Perazzi, CRT Yusef, Harley Jackie, Atascocita Bette, Fusileer, HS Mallory, CRT Leyla, Kiowa Cain.

January Highlights

~Rob Gronkowski winning the He's My Man Classic on Jan. 18th, going undefeated throughout the tournament. The must see greyhound in America and he runs right here at Palm Beach.

~Super Sprint track time record holder (tied with KB's Like A Fox ~ 16.38) Bae Sang coming back to Palm Beach on Jan. 19th.

~Young racer Ghost Buster running stride for stride with the big dogs here in the He's My Man Classic and immediately having success in the 660 right after the tournament.

~Rader Racing now has firm control of 1st place in the Kennel Standings. A 10th straight title should be expected for Norm Rader and his talented list of athletes racing for him.

Not So Good

~TD's Gator is now 0-64 at Palm Beach. Has not run since January 15th, so it's possible a transfer or retirement maybe happening with this super sprinter.

~Atascocita Golda is not in the Top 10 for the first time all season. Hoping after she gets back from her break that she gets back into top form. One of my favorite racers here.

~Super C Roxee is also out of my Top 10 for the 1st time since September. Her break isn't as solid as it was and cannot close anybody. Currently stuck in the "B" class after having a lot of success in the top class all season long.

~2012-2013 Wins leader Atascocita Henri schooled on 1/15 and finished last. I'll keep an update on this greyhound to see if he gets back into racing here at PB.

James W. Paul Derby

~One of the best fields we have seen in a while.  In my opinion, there are at least 5 greyhounds that could take home the championship.  My pick is Flying Zinc at this point but watch out for Ghost Buster, Smokey Joe, Flying The Who and Kay Rock Sweet. February should be amazing!

Top 10 Greyhounds Palm Beach Kennel Club December 2013

Top 10 Greyhounds Palm Beach Kennel Club December 2013

Another exciting month of racing action has been completed at the Palm Beach Kennel Club and the action couldn't be any better right now!  Heading into the new year, there are many racers here that could make a case to be on this Top 10 list. Here are my Top 10 racers currently racing at "The Beach."

#1 Rob Gronkowski ~ 545 Yard Racer ~ Rader Racing
~Last month ranking #1 (Two straight months at the top)
~3 wins this month

Simply the best racer here and possibly the entire country. The "Gronk" holds the Royal Palm Course time record of 29.02 that he set last month and also held a 9 race winning streak at this track before being upset by San Tan Chisholm on 12/26. The best rush anywhere out of the box and has amazed fans with his unreal length of victories over the competition. Gronk will race in the He's My Man Classic starting on New Years Day at Palm Beach, where he will be a heavy favorite. After that, owner Steve Sarras has confirmed to multiple sources that Gronk will move over to Mardi Gras for the World Classic Stakes Event held there at the end of January. Making a case for being one of the best racers that has ever raced here.

#2 JS SpeedyPebbles ~545 Yard Racer ~ Pat Collins/Neola Joe Kennel
~Last month #2 (Same ranking)
~3 wins this month

The Dick Andrews Futurity champion has been outstanding since bursting on the scene this Fall. Has won 13 of the 16 races (81%) of her races and has blazed a 29.24 Royal Palm Course time this season.  The best rookie this track has ever seen. As track announcer Mike Jameson has said, this is the best female running here by far.  With Gronk moving on to Hollywood next month, will there be a change at #1 in January and beyond?

#3 KB's Like A Fox ~ 301 Yard Super Sprint Racer ~ Rader Racing
~Last Month #4 (Up 1 spot)
~5 wins this month

The best sprinter at "The Beach." Has 20 super sprint wins on the season and has won 12 of his last 15 races (80%).  Track announcer FasTrak Dale proclaims this is the best sprinter in the country and it is hard to blame him.  Fox has 4 of the top 10 race times this season on the super sprint course and doesn't mind box position because he has had success in any assignment. When Bae Sang comes back from Southland Park, this super sprint season will really heat up with BlackJack Bryce also having a bunch of success.

#4 Relativity ~ 545 Yard Racer ~  James E. Douglas Racing
~Last Month #8 (Up 4 spots, biggest mover on this list)
~5 wins this month

~My Facebook pal Chris Straka's racer has become a beast in the month of December. Has won 6 out of 7 races and went under 30 seconds in all of those. Started off as an inside rail racer but has expanded his game to any box assignment. The most amazing stat I have seen with Relativity is that in all of his races since coming to PB in April, he has never given up the lead once he has it. Look for "Einstein" to possibly steal the He's My Man Classic if Gronk or SpeedyPebbles falter.

#5 Jawa Bruiser ~545 Yard Racer ~ Royal Racing Team
~Last month #5 (Same Ranking)
 ~2 wins this month

~One of the best lid flippers around. Has finished in 1st or 2nd in 14 of the last 15 races. Had some absolute classic races with Atascocita Golda in the last few months.  Is a box to wire specialist but does have a little close as well. Really came back as a superior racer in September after a 2 month layoff.  Has won 47% of his races this season. Outside chance of challenging for the He's My Man Classic.

#6 BlackJack Bryce ~ 301 Yard Super Sprint Racer ~Champions Racing Team
~Last month #8 (Up 2 spots)
~4 wins this month

The other superstar sprinter here. Has won 8 out of the last 10 races. Has won 58% of the races he has been in this season. I really would like to see a rivalry start between Bryce and Like A Fox because it would be some classic races guaranteed.

#7 Super C Roxee ~545 Yard Racer~ B & B Racing
~Last month #10 (Up 3 spots)
~3 wins this month

~The ultimate box to wire specialist. She has won 51% of her races this season and is right up there with any lid popper speed around. Roxee is consistently near the front of the pack during her races but still has one of the worst fades on this list, which pushes down her rankings.  Look for Roxee to continue to win many races here at Palm Beach.

#8 Atascocita Golda ~ 545 Yard Racer ~ Suncoast Racing
~Last month #3 (Down 5 spots)
~2 wins this month

~One of my favorite racers here because of the way she runs. Encourages contact and runs hard every race. You can really see though that her game is starting to tire.  2 wins on the month is startling to me and her times have also not been consistent with what she was putting up this Summer and most of Fall.  I'm hoping that Suncoast puts this one on break for a while because rest should bring this racer back to the former #1 racer form she had going. Still is the wins leader with 23 but KB's Like A Fox is right on her tail with 20.

#9 San Tan Spangled ~ 545 Yard Racer ~Steve Gilster Kennel
~Last month-Not Ranked
~3 wins this month

~One of the really up and comer racers here. Has won 7 out of 11 races this season and has finished in the top 3 in all of those races. Should make the Final of the He's My Man Classic.

#10 Legally Buzzed~ 660 Yard Long Distance Racer~ Marsella Racing
~Last Month- Not Ranked
~4 wins this month

~The newest 660 yard long distance sensation.  Switched to the long distance and immediately went on a 4 race winning streak.  With Flying Zinc on a break, this young racer has a chance to put up a lot of wins at this distance.  Is there anything more wide open then the 660 at this place?  Seems like I have a new sensation on here every month at this distance.

Honorable Mention: CRT Yusef (Just barely off this list), JS Big Mac, NB's Nice and Easy, CRT Majestic, Bazooka Joe, Kay Rock Sweet, TF Chucky Slick, JS Froot Loops, Inner Circle, Atascocita Bette, Flying The Who, San Tan Chisholm, TF Ashley, Charlie Sheen, Kiowa Frank Lazy, CRT Quin, PWS Cadishack, NB's Perazzi, CRT Outstanding, Fusileer, PJ Timeless, Smokey Joe.

Racers Not Currently Racing
~Atascocita Henri
~Flying Rushin By
~Flying Zinc

December Highlights

~JS SpeedyPebbles winning the $20,000 Dick Andrews Futurity on December 26th.

~Rob Gronkowski destroying the fields he was in and giving him the chance to go under 29 seconds in the 545 yard distance every time he races.

~KB's Like A Fox and BlackJack Bryce lighting up the super sprint field.

~Rader Racing and B&B Racing going toe to toe for the Kennel Championship. Rader just took over the wins lead at the end of the month. With Norm Rader bringing over many quality Gulf Greyhound dogs to this track, you will probably see Rader Racing win its 10th straight Championship this summer.

~Saw that former Palm Beach racer Machismo FINALLY won a race! Was 0-63 at Palm Beach and transferred to Sanford Orlando. Won his 3rd race and then continued on with another win in his next one.  Good transfer because Jerry Burns was getting nervous about his futility record.

December Lows

~TDS Gator has now lost 60 consecutive races at Palm Beach and is now just 13 races away from tying the futility streak of Jerry Burns.

~Another month of not seeing the 2012 Wins Champion Atascocita Henri. Suncoast has stayed silent on why we have not seen him racing.

Have a Happy New Year and enjoy the He's My Man Classic starting New Years Day!

Top 10 Greyhounds Palm Beach Kennel Club November 2013

Top 10 Greyhounds November 2013
Palm Beach Kennel Club

What an outstanding month of racing at the Palm Beach Kennel Club! From records being broken again this month, to top racers returning to the track, PBKC was again the home of the best racing around.  Here are my Top 10 Greyhounds currently racing at "The Beach" for November 2013.

1. Rob Gronkowski ~ 545 Yd. Racer ~ Rader Racing
Last Month- Not Ranked

~The Fall Puppy Stakes champion took off for Southland in September but came back to Palm Beach on November 23rd. Not only did he dominate the field upon his return, he broke the Royal Palm Course Record by blitzing a 29.02 time.  With an unreal rush out of the box, this greyhound has a chance to become one of the all time greats this track has ever seen. Should be around at Palm Beach during the Winter Stakes season, but will travel around the country to dominate other tracks during their big stakes seasons.  Absolutely has a chance to break 29 seconds and possibly lower the track record to a time that may never be beat.  Finished 8th in the National UGR Top 10 poll, the only Palm Beach racer on this list. With George Quinn of Greyhound News, this is our favorite greyhound here.

2. JS SpeedyPebbles ~ 545 Yd. Racer ~ Pat Collins/ Neola Joe Kennel
Last Month #2 (Same Ranking)

~ Another classic greyhound from the Pat Collins/Neola Joe Kennel, this youngster returned from injury on November 26th and blazed a 29.59 time for the win. The only racer ever in track history to win her first 8 starts, she has now won 10/11 races all time here. Right up there with the best breakers around. Right now is the favorite to win the Puppy Stakes come March. The Winter Stakes season should be outstanding with these top 2 going head to head. Superstar potential with this racer.

3. Atascocita Golda~ 545 Yd. Racer ~ Suncoast Racing
Last Month #1 (Down 2 spots)

~If it wasn't for the Gronk coming back and JS SpeedyPebbles having the best start of any greyhound racer ever at PB,  this would be the #1 dog here. Was on top of my Top Ten List for September and October.  With 21 wins out of 30 races on the season, Golda has one of the best lip flipper breaks at this track. This is an old school greyhound who doesn't shy away from contact and really doesn't care what box she is in as well.  Ran a 29.32 time earlier in the season and won 4 races in the month of November.  Might give JS SpeedyPebbles a run for her money if they get paired up in the coming months. The Queen of Palm Beach without a doubt as my track announcer buddy Mike Jameson would say.

 4. KB's Like A Fox ~ 301 Yd. Super Sprint ~Rader Racing
Last Month #9 (Up 5 spots)

~The best sprinter at Palm Beach right now. Has won 9 out of the last 11 races and has been in the money 15 out of 16 times (94%).  Whenever Bae Sang comes back from Southland, it will be really interesting to see if this dominance continues. As for right now, this is Like A Fox's super sprint course until somebody takes it back.

5. Jawa Bruiser~ 545 Yd. Racer ~ Royal Racing Team
Last Month #6 (Up 1 spot)

~One of the best rushers this track has right now. FasTrak Dale's favorite hound has now put a little close on to his game to go along with that initial speed.  Best win of the month came on 11/30 when he out dueled Golda on the backstretch to win the Season Kickoff Showcase Race.  Had a 5 race win streak into the month of November. Impressive greyhound.

6. Flying Zinc ~ 660 Yd. Long Distance Racer ~Royal Racing Team
Last Month ~ Not Ranked

~Right now is the best 3/8th's miler here. Has the season's fastest time of 37.40 and won 4 out of 5 races this month.  This racer will be rated much higher next month if she keeps it up, but many of us have seen racers have a bit of success on this course for a little while and then struggle. Looking forward to her races in December.

7. Kiowa Frank Lazy ~ 545 Yd. Racer ~ James E. Douglas Kennel
Last Month ~ Not Ranked

~Had a 4 race winning streak in the top class up until the Season Kickoff race on 11/30, that had Golda, Bruiser and Roxee all in it.  Was 1st or 2nd in in all 7 races this month except for that race. Did beat Atascocita Golda out of the 1 box on 11/23. Just 1 and a half years old, this racer should be fun to watch here for a while.

8.  BlackJack Bryce ~ 301 Yd. Super Sprint Racer ~ Champions Racing Team
Last Month ~ Not Ranked

~First time since I started doing this list in June that I have two super sprinters in the Top 10...and why not with this speedster winning 5 out of 7 races this month.  Is one of the only sprinters I have seen that prefers the 8 box.  Usually one of the worst boxes for this race, Bryce has won 80% of his races from the outside.  Hoping for Like A Fox and Bryce to match up more in December.

9. Relativity ~ 545 Yd. Racer ~ James E. Douglas Racing
Last Month ~ Not Ranked

~My Odd Squad buddy Chris Straka's racer continues to have a lot of success here at "The Beach." Now 13 wins on the season, including winning her last race on 11/30. "Einstein" loves mid track and amazingly has never given up a lead once she has gotten it in the backstretch since coming to PB in April.  Look out for the Puppy Stakes Finalist to continue his winning this Winter.

10.  Super C Roxee ~ 545 Yd. Racer ~ B & B Racing
Last Month ~ #5 (Down 5 Spots)

~One of the top wins leaders of the season with 14 wins, this racer is an early speed specialist.  Needs the lead to win because she does have a bit of a fade on the homestretch. Won twice in this month and can consistently go under 30 seconds for stretches. This racer as Randy Birch would say "Has the ability to go pinggggggg out of the box for the win."

Honorable Mention
CRT Majestic, CRT Outstanding, San Tan Spangled, CRT Offensive, NB's Nice and Easy, Daphne Zuniga, Cals Flip Flop, Atascocita Bette, Palm City Pamela, Boc's Jalapeno, Hilco Score, Fusileer, Liberty Trail.

*Racers not racing that would be considered: Atascocita Henri, Flying Rushin By.

November Highlights

~Rob Gronkowski breaking the 545 Royal Palm Course record on 11/23 with a time of 29.02 upon his return from Southland Park.

~JS SpeedPebbles winning her 10th race out of 11 starts this month.

~Kiowa Frank Lazy bursting on the "A" class scene this Fall and winning 4 in a row in the top "A" class.

~HKF Scooby (Champions Racing Team) winning his 1st race in 49 tries on 11/19

~WW's Review (Agganis Kennel) winning his 1st race in 37 tries on 11/21

Not So Good

~Machismo (Ryan Racing)  is still winless at 64 straight races and is putting a serious pursuit on for futility at this track.  The record for Palm Beach is 73 held by Jerry Burns.  Machismo is not currently slated for a race coming up, so it will be interesting to see what owners do with with this racer in the near future.

~Atascocita Henri (Suncoast Racing) is on another break after winning 2 straight races coming off a 6 month layoff.  Anyone with a Suncoast connection please let me know what is going on with the 2012 wins leader.

~Rusty The Lure blowing a tire and getting his tail handed to him after the finish line by 8 greyhounds on 11/22. Only funny because it didn't effect the results of that race and there wasn't a significant delay for the next races. Give Rusty a break though. He runs more schooling and regular races then any other lure in America. He'll be back everyday so that all of the Palm Beach announcers can say the famous opening line, "Heeeeerrrreeeeeee Comeessss Rusty!!!"

Good luck to all racers and owners going forward into December!

Top 10 Greyhounds at the Palm Beach Kennel Club October 2013

Top 10 Greyhounds at The Palm Beach Kennel Club
October 2013

Awesome start to the Fall season at "The Beach." Many top dogs stayed in top form, but some new stars have come on the scene as well. Lots of new names on the list compared to last month because of the big hitters that came back from breaks. Here are my Top 10 Greyhounds currently running at Palm Beach for October 2013.

#1- Atascocita Golda (545) Suncoast Racing    Last Month ( #1)
~ #1 at this track for the 2nd month in a row, but it was a lot closer in my thinking with JS SpeedyPebbles jumping on the scene. Major rush and is almost impossible to catch from behind. 5 out of 6 wins in October and consistently under 30 seconds.  This 2 1/2 year old racer looks strong going forward.

#2- JS SpeedyPebbles (545) Pat Collins/Neola Joe Kennel  Last Month (Not Ranked)
~Unbelieveable run to start her career. 8 straight wins, a track record. Completed the Ladder (M class to A without losing.) Would have been #1 if she got to double digit wins. Would love to see the top 2 here square off regularly.

#3- Flyin Rushing By (545) Steve Gilster Kennel  Last Month ( #2)
~Best rush at the track. Currently on a small break but should be back racing soon.

#4- CRT Outstanding (545) Champions Racing Team Last Month (Not Ranked)
~Reeled off 4 wins in a row in October. Seems to be getting better every month.

#5- Super C Roxee (545) B & B Racing  Last Month (#5)
~Won 3 out of 4 at the end of October, including stopping JS SpeedyPebbles 8 race undefeated streak. Has one of the best rushes at this track but can fade at the end.

#6- Jawa Bruiser (545) Royal Racing  Last Month (Not Ranked)
~Came back from break and has currently won 4 in a row, with blistering under 30 second times. One of the best rushers anywhere in this one. Has really not faded at the end like he used to before his time off.

#7- Atascocita Henri (545) Suncoast Racing  Last Month (Not Ranked)
~Could easily be the best racer at this track once he gets back into form from the 6 month layoff. The wins leader from last year won her 1st race back on 10/29. Look out in November for this racer who has won 55% of his starts all time at "The Beach."

#8- NB's Nice And Easy (545) Royal Racing  Last Month (Not Ranked)
~My buddy Toledo Houndman's racer comes back onto the track and has gotten back into form quickly. Very consistent greyhound, scoring a 20 race streak of finishing in the $$$$ in the last spring/summer season.

#9- KB's Like A Fox (301) Rader Racing Last Month (Not Ranked)
~Liberty Trail only has one win all month long and this young sprinter has come on strong in October. Amazing to me that this is the only racer on this list from the 9 time Kennel Champion Rader Racing.

#10- Macsaurus (545) Douglas Kennel Last Month (Not Ranked)
~Have to put this youngster on the list for completing The Ladder for the 1st time at Palm Beach since 2007. Has struggled the last 4 races but the ladder completion was one of the coolest things I have seen in a while.

Honorable Mention: CRT Majestic, Liberty Trail, Boc's Halapeno, PJ Timeless, Google Search, Nidett, Fusileer, Atascocita Bette, Pat C Navvoo, Palm City Pamela, Kiowa Cain, Relativity, CRT Yusef, CRT Cadishack, Sandra Bullock.

#3 Atascocita Golda

Best Kennels

Highlights of the Month
~ Both JS Speedy Pebbles and Macsaurus completing the 1st Ladders at Palm Beach since 2007.
~ JS SpeedyPebbles winning her first 8 career starts.
~ Last years win leader Atascocita Henri returning after a 6 month layoff.
~ Jawa Bruiser and CRT Outstanding both with 4 race winning streaks in the top class.

Not So Good
~Machismo  (Ryan Racing) is now 0-59 all time in wins at Palm Beach. Would owners let this dog keep racing if it gets into the 70's or 80's without a win?

~HKF Scooby (Champions Racing Team) is now 0-49 all time at Palm Beach for wins.

~Liberty Trail only winning 1 time this month and it was in a lower class.

Top 10 Greyhounds Palm Beach Kennel Club September 2013

Here are the Top 10 Greyhounds at the Palm Beach Kennel Club for September 2013:

#1 Atascocita Golda
~Best racer at Palm Beach and it's not even close right now. Has won 7 out of the last 8 races.  Looks primed to be the best here at "The Beach" for a long time unless owners transfer her.

#2 Flying Rushin By
~Best rusher in the 545.  Has been much better about closing races, even though her leads are so gigantic at the beginning it is hard to tell.  Would love to see a rivalry start between this one and Golda.

#3 Kiowa Cain
~The pride of Monarch Greyhounds stormed on the scene this month with 4 straight wins. This includes a blistering 29.20 in the 545.

#4 Relativity
~Odd Squad member Chris Straka owns this dog and she really has become elite this month. "Einstein" won 4 times in September, including making the Puppy Stakes final on Labor Day. Getting better every race.

# 5 Super C Roxee
~Roxee is the #2 best rusher out of the box behind Rushin By.  Had 4 wins in September and also had a recent 7 race winning streak snapped. Barely 2 years old, should be able to keep running well for a while.

#6 Atascocita Bette
~The newest sensation at Palm Beach  went from the "J" class all the way to the top "A" class before losing.  Has excellent rush out of the box. Barring injury, this is a serious threat to the top spots on this list.

#7 Liberty Trail
~The veteran sprinter is still the best sprinter here but has slowed down in this monthOnly won twice in this month, but that is only because in one of her 1 box assignment races, she escaped from the handler and escaped. Should get back on track in October.

#8 Nidett
~The veteran 660 long distance racer got back in the winning swing this month. Won 3 times after being put back where she belongs after the failed experiment at the shorter 545 distance.

#9 Google Search
~A surprise here I know but this racer may have the best close of this field. Beat Super C Roxee on 9/21 and barely missed another win 5 days later as Roxee barely nipped her off. Getting better every month.

#10 CRT Majestic
~Won 3 times this month, with some impressive mid 29 second runs.

Honorable Mention: Pws Cadishack, Palm City Pamela, Boc's Jalapeno, Superior Dune, Ethereal Elation, CRT Yusef, CRT Kimmy, JS Angel Touch, Daphne Zuniga, Kiowa Raphael.

Not So Good:

Machismo- 0-54 for wins all time at Palm Beach continues for this Ryan Racing hound. Yikes.

*Sad to see Rob Gronkowski transfer to Southland but there are some really quality racers in the "A" class right now. Watch out for Golda in October, as we may see a double digit win streak coming soon from her.
