Palm Beach Kennel Club Win Picks Thursday Matinee 5-2-13

#1- 7 Turbo Mimosa- The best bet at Palm Beach is the Rader Racing "M" pups.  This is one of the more competitive "M" class races I have handicapped in a while.

#2- 3 Atascocita Drew- I always have to take an Atascocita dog from Suncoast Kennel every race program.  Going for 3 in a row.

#3- 2 HS Optimus- Rader Racing.  Looked very impressive last race with his initial speed out of the box.

#4- 7 Craigie Scooter- Grade drop. Won last "C" class race with 29.80 best time.

#5- 8 Craigie Macey B- Extremly weak field for this "D" class race.  Should rush in from the outside.

#6- 4 JS Angel Touch- Grade "A" hound drops down to "B" for it's 11th win of the season. 29.62 a few races ago.

#7- 8 Pretty Cozzy- Recent grade drop.  Does well in the outside boxes in this class.

#8- 7 Atascocita Genie- Grade drop.  29.70 last time out in the "D" class.

#9- 3 Yahoo Charlie- Rader Racing.  Good speed out of the box.

#10- 4 Baby Kaitlyn- Recent grade drop.  Looks to be the best 660 racer in this field.

#11-8 BL Baby Blue- Grade drop.  Has won last two "C" races. Does well out of the outside boxes.

#12- 2 Pat C Singer- Best recent time of the card.  Goes for 10th season win.

#13- 2 Bob's Pate- Nipped at wire last two races.  Gets it done from the inside box in this one.

#14- 5 CBJ Largo- Grade drop.  Went 29.64 last time out in the "B" class.

#15- 6 Hookem Tiffi- Drops down to the "C" class to win this one.

Palm Beach Kennel Club Win Picks Wednesday Matinee 5-1-13

#1- 6 Stromin J Gun- No Rader pup here, so I will go with the dog who has had the best times previously.

#2- 1 Google Search- Has won it's last 2 "D" class races.

#3- 7 Cragie Frampton- Has been tearing it up at Palm Beach since the transfer from Derby Lane.  Good speed to start out of the outside box.

#4- 8 Atascocita Angie- Have to pick an Atascocita dog from Suncoast Kennel every program.  This one does its best sprinting out of the 8 box.

#5- 6 Vagrant- This dog cant seriously get nicked at the wire four times a row could it?  The best speed out of the box and should finally hang on for that "C" class win. Rader Racing.

#6- NB's Nice And Easy- Wins/Places 54% at Palm Beach. 29.48 recently.

#7- 1 Pat C Hyte- Recent grade drop out of the hot 1 box.

#8- 4 Kay Rock World- Best previous time (29.77) of this weak field.

#9- 3 Flying Visionist- Times have continued to drop since joining the 660 races.

#10- 4 BlackJack Joanne- Just won out of this same box and class a few races ago.

#11- 5 Atascocita Bessy- Grade drop.  Won her last "C" class race with a blazing time of 29.67.

#12- 6 Flying Rushing By- Consistently under 30 seconds in the "A" class.  Is always right near the front at the break.  Wins/Places nearly 50% of the time at Palm Beach.

#13- 4 FF Cookie- Best times of the field.

#14- 2 ER Jamie- Been close last few races.  Best times of the field and has won out of this 2 box in a previous race.

#15- 6 Atascocita Gilma- Just beat Nidett, who is the favorite in this race.  Gilma also won with a time of 37.93 out of the same box last time out.

April 2013 Win Percentage Me Vs. The Experts

After running the statistics for the month of April 2013, here are the win percentage breakdowns for the Palm Beach Kennel Club expert picks.  These include picks from Jeff Prince, Randy Birch and the Palm Beach Race Program and myself.  These statistics run from April 4th (when I started tracking the data) through the rest of the month.

Me: 140 total wins picked out of 524 races = 27%

Prince Picks: 131 total wins picked out of 523 races = 25%

Birch: 49 total win picks out of 240 races = 20%

PB Program: 111 total win picks out of 525 races = 21%

So your best free win picker at the Palm Beach Kennel Club for the month of April was me!  My 27% is still below my 35-40% goal but I will take beating the experts anytime.

Palm Beach Kennel Club Win Picks Tuesday Matinee 4-30-13

#1- 2 O Ya Nicole- Rader Racing. One of the best bets at Palm Beach is the Rader "M" pups.  30.23 in a recent schooling race.

#2- RK's Garst- Grade drop.  Does very well in the "C" class and also in the hot 1 box.

#3- 6 Braska Flapper- Going for 3 in a row.  Times have dropped the last three races.

#4- 7 Bae Sang- The best sprinter at Palm Beach period.  This is one of my best bets of the day.  Just set the 301 record of 16.48.  The only one at Palm Beach that could beat this one is Liberty Trail and that dog is not running today.

#5- 7 Mega Anchor- Recent grade drop.  Good speed out of the outside box.

#6- Skiddy Duchess- Times have dropped the last four races. Looks primed to win it's ninth win of the season.

#7- 2 TNT Matty Bee- Best speed out of the box.  Times has dropped the last 4 races, with a last time out of 29.96.  Was an "A" dog recently.

#8- 8 With Dignity- Best recent times of the race.  Been right around 30 seconds last few races and is in the good outside 8 box.

#9- 5 BlackJack Sting- Best speed out of the box.  Has been oh so close last four races. Gets his 2nd win.

#10- 7 Dreckly- Close last race.  Fastest previous time of the field.

#11- 3 Dino Crocetti- 2nd last two races by just over a length each time.  Just went 29.85 last race.

#12- KB's Decatur- Best speed out of the field and in the helpful outside 8 box.

#13- 1 Super C Waylon- Best speed out of the hot 1 box. Grade drop.

#14- KK's Schruiken- Grade drop.  Seems to win and be out fast for the "B" class races.

#15- 2 Jalasee- Best times of the field.  Continues to get stronger at the 660.

Palm Beach Kennel Club Win Percentages Experts Vs. Me 4-22-13 - 4-28-13

Here are the weekly win percentages for the Palm Beach Kennel Club experts (Jeff Prince, Randy Birch and the Palm Beach Kennel Club race program) and me.  These stats are for Monday April 22nd through Sunday April 28th.  There were 135 races run in that time frame.

Me: 40 win picks correctly out of 134 for a win percentage of 30% (I had a dog scratch on 4-23)

Program: 32 win picks correctly out of 135 for a win percentage of 24%

Prince Picks: 41 win picks correctly out of 135 for a win percentage of 30%

Randy Birch: 11 win picks correctly out of 60 for a win percentage of 18%
*Remember that Birch only picks Thursday-Sunday and also only picks the matinees at Palm Beach.

So the winner this week by the littlest of margins is the Prince Picks.  Maybe if I wouldn't have had that #6 dog scratch it would have been different!  This is still below the 35% minimum I am looking for, but 40 wins in a week is a decent week.

The month ends on Wednesday April 30th.  Next Sunday, I will not only post the weekly stats for the previous week for me vs. the experts, but also the month.

Palm Beach Kennel Club Win Picks Monday Matinee 4-29-13

#1- 5 Sandra Bullock- Times keep getting better.  Good speed out of the box.

#2- 2 SK Snowflake- Has won it's last two "C" class races.  Can have good early speed out of the inside box.

#3- 7 Yahoo Diablo- Rader Racing, one of the best bets at Palm Beach is the "M" class pups from this kennel. Has placed in it's first two races.

#4- 6 Kiowa Free Fly- First sprint race.  This dog is almost always in 1st at the 300 yd mark in the 550 races, so this should transfer to the sprint series.

#5- 1 O Ya Norma- Rader Racing, good opening speed out of the hot 1 box.

#6- 1 FF Taffy- Excellent opening speed out of the hot 1 box.  Just won out of this box two races ago.

#7- 4 Classy Cameo- Grade drop.  Does best in the "C" class races. Has gone 29.65 previously.

#8- 8 Kane's Ryan- Recent double grade drop.  Should be able to sprint around the outside.  40% Win/Place ration at Palm Beach.

#9- 5 Magic LittleWays- One of the best previous times of the field.

#10- 6 Cal's Flip Flop- Going for 3 in a row here.

#11- 3 Atascocita Julio- Have to take an Atascocita dog from Suncoast Kennels every program.  Recent grade drop and 29.54 previous time.

#12- 3 PG Really Rich- In the top 5 of the best racers at Palm Beach. Going for win #3 in a row and 5 out of 7 in the top "A" class.

#13- 8 Yahoo Ernesto- Rader Racing. Best dog here in a weak field.

#14- 6 Jed's B Trump- Close last two races.  Has gone under 30 three times in the past four races.

#15- 4 KB's Spiral Flex- Recent grade drop.  Consistently in the 38 second range.

Palm Beach Kennel Club Win Picks Sunday Matinee 4-28-13

#1- 3 Fly Chris Brown- Seriously time for this maiden to win.  30.15 "M" class best time.

#2- 5 O Ya Dorothy- Rader Racing, O Ya dogs have been dominant at Palm Beach this season.

#3- 6 Distortion- Rader Racing, can go under 30 seconds if it makes it to the bend first.

#4- 6 Liberty Trail- Besides Bae Sang, this is the best sprinter at Palm Beach. One of my best bets for this program card.

#5- 4 RCK Roman Ruler- Just won by 6 lengths out of this same box last time out.

#6- O Ya Bill-Wins or places 80% of the time at Palm Beach!

#7- 8 Gez Money Talk- Can absolutely fly out of the outside box. Wins or places 50% of the time at Palm Beach.

#8- 1 Toledo Nancy- Best times of this weak field.  In the hot 1 box.

#9- 4 Nitro Moody Blue- Extremly weak field in this "J" class race. Gets her 2nd win.

#10- 2 SheGone- Rader Racing, Grade drop.  Excellent speed out of the inside box.

#11- 1 TapStar Thunder- Recent grade drop out of the hot 1 box.

#12- 8 Nemmine- Excellent speed out of the outside 8 box.  Recent grade drop and almost won last race.

#13- 3 Eabani- Does best from the middle boxes. Close last two races.

#14- 5 Atascocita Golda- Even though I am excited for my favorite pup Rob Gronkowski to return to the Palm Beach racing scene, I don't think he is beating the second best racer at the entire track.  Hopefully the two weeks off helped Gronk!

#15- Bob's Kiric- Gets 4th win in the 660 distance race.
